I like to make cards & sometimes they don’t get sold or Mom has as many as she can use. So what to do with the left overs. Storage is not a choice. I have a subscription to Card Maker magazine. Every issue they feature a new designated recipient organization & appropriate card theme. I donate my extra cards to the charity they are featuring. This helps others & frees up room for more creativity. Help out if you can these are worthy charity’s.
Cards For Heroes
Year-Round Cards are needed. This dedicated group supports our nation’s armed forces by sending greeting cards upon which deployed troops can write home The organization also provides cards of gratitude to injured service men and women recovering in hospitals.
Needs a wide variety of cards that can be sent by the service men & women throughout the year. Birthday, anniversary, thank-you, congratulations, holiday & generic all-occasion cards are all welcome. Do not sign the cards, as the troops will be using the cards to correspond with their loved ones. An important recommendation from the organization is to refrain from using glitter on your cards, as it could cause problematic staining if it flakes off onto uniforms.
