Thank You Butterfly

 Thank you for checking out my Thank You cards. I used 2 techniques I would like to share today. Let’s start with the two stamped flowers. I colored them using Stampin’ up markers. Then using a spray bottle filled with water I lightly sprayed the stamp. I then stamped it on white paper. This gives the flowers more of a water-color look. The butterfly was also colored with markers. Then I used what is called “Huffing”. Remember when you were a kid & you would breath on the window so it would fog up. When you do this to a stamp it’s called Huffing. Why would you do this? Well, since I colored with markers the huffing adds the moisture that might have evaporated while coloring. I will do this same method sometime just with stamp pad ink. I die cut out the flowers & butterfly then framed it with a larger die. I attached that to a dark purple piece. I attached a purple ribbon & bow. Attached that to a pink back ground paper.

The inside was easy. I cut out the thank you in with my Cricut. I attached it to the same color purple used on the outside of the card. I then framed that with a lighter shade of purple also the same used on the outside of the card. I then attached 2 small pink flowers where the die cut had cut flowers. And it’s done 🙂

Flowers = Hero Arts

Butterfly & pens = Stampin’ Up.

Outside of card die cuts = Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Four”.

Ribbon from Michael’s Craft stores.

Die inside by Cricut. I’ll have to look up the cartridge I used.
