I took this idea right from Card Maker magazine January 2012 page 39. Sweet Love designed by Kate Calvert. Her card was made with shades of red & pink & made for Valentines’s Day. I cut two, one inch strips of each color. Attach one of each color to the card. I punched the harts out using a Martha Steward border punch & attached them on top of their same color strip. Using Hero Arts clear stamps I stamped the Congratulations. Using the clear stamps made it easy to position the word so as not to get it on the border.

For the inside I used Playful Expressions clear stamps by TPC Studio “Happiness comes through doors you didn’t even know you left open“. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eleven to cut out the saying & the mat. When punching out the borders for the outside of the card it created several small harts that I saved to use on this projects & others.
